Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has called upon Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi.
Assam CM Seeks Nirmala Sitharaman’s Support
Himanta Biswa Sarma sought the Finance Minister’s guidance on key policy issues and discussed in length about the efforts to revitalize Brahmaputra Valley Fertiliser Corporation.
The Chief Minister sought the support of the Union government in setting up of a satellite township near Guwahati.
“We’re sure that the people of Assam will be able to receive the fruitful message of this meeting in the coming days,” he said.
The Chief Minister also met Union Minister Mansukh Mandviya on his plans to give a boost to sports infrastructure in Assam.
