Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has outlined the critical role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology in streamlining college admissions, saying that technological integration is inevitable and crucial for future governance.

“Governments will come and go, but technology will remain,” said the Chief Minister, emphasizing the ongoing and future importance of AI.
He stressed that the implementation of technology is essential for making processes smoother and more efficient.
Addressing concerns about the efficacy of the Samarth portal, Sarma said, “If we encounter issues, we will communicate them to our technological team and escalate them to a team in Delhi for resolution. This portal was not developed by us, but we are committed to resolving any problems.”
He emphasized that local entities, such as newspapers and educational institutions, cannot hinder the AI revolution.
The Chief Minister outlined the need for embracing technological advancements, and encouraged intellectual discussions about their benefits and drawbacks.
“We must welcome technological revolutions that benefit students with informed and collective efforts to address any challenges,” he said.
