Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu on April 23 confirmed that the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) will unveil the results for the Higher Secondary (HS) examination within the first week of May.

There were initial reports that the results would be declared on April 24 but it was not. Results for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination announced on April 20.
It needs to be mentioned that Ranoj Pegu came under fire for creating confusion with contradictory social media posts regarding the announcement of HSLC examination results, allegedly misleading students, parents, and the public.
Speaking to the media, the Education Minister said, “We declared the HSLC results as soon as possible. Simultaneously, we are also planning to announce the results of the HS exams either in the last week of April or by the first week of May. We feel it would help the students get relief from stress.”
