Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil development projects worth Rs 18,000 crore during his forthcoming visit to Assam.

According to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Prime Minister will arrive at Tezpur airport on March 8 before heading to the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, where he will spend the night.

During his visit, PM Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed Tinsukia Medical College and lay the foundation stone for an upcoming medical college in Sivasagar district.

In addition, he will launch expansion projects for the Guwahati Refinery and the Digboi Refinery, with costs estimated at Rs 510 crore and Rs 768 crore, respectively.
