Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Approves Bill For Creation Of Two New Districts

A new bill has been passed by the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly on February 8 for creation of two new districts.

Arunachal Pradesh Gets 2 New Districts – Keyi Panyor And Bichom

The two new districts in Arunachal Pradesh have been created in the western and southern parts of the state.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu introduced the Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation of Districts) Amendment Bill, 2024, paving the way for creation of Keyi Panor and Bichom districts.

With these, the total number of districts in Arunachal Pradesh has risen to 28. Keyi Panyor district will be carved out from Lower Subansiri district, while Bichom district is set to be carved out from East Kameng and West Kameng districts.
