In a significant move to alleviate traffic snarls in Guwahati, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will lay the foundation stone of the Birubari-Lalganesh flyover on February 1.
Birubari-Lalganesh Flyover Promises To Ease Traffic Congestion Between Critical Points In Guwahati
The foundation stone will be laid at Cycle Factory junction by CM Sarma along with Guwahati Development Department (GDD) Minister Ashok Singhal.
The Birubari-Lalganesh flyover, spanning an impressive 2.84 kilometers and costing Rs 376 crore, is strategically planned to cover key junctions such as Cycle Factory, Barsapara, and Lalganesh Market junctions.
The starting point of the flyover will be from the junction point after Arya Nagar flyover and the end point will be beyond Lal Ganesh market.
Once completed, this four-lane architectural marvel is expected to establish crucial connections to prominent landmarks including ITI Guwahati, NH 27 (Lokhra), Kahilipara, Barshapara Stadium, GMCH, B Barooah Cancer Institute, Arya Vidyapeeth College, and more.
