The Budget Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly will be held from February 5 to February 28. This announcement was made by the Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat following directives from Governor Gulab Chand Kataria.
Assam Governor Summons Budget Session On February 5
Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat has issued a notification, stating “the Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria has summoned the Budget Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly to meet at 9:30 am on February 5 at the Assembly Chamber in Dispur”.
The Speaker will announce the agenda for the session, including the introduction of government bills and the constitution of committees.
The session concludes on February 28 with questions, consideration of government bills, and adjournment of the House indefinitely.
The Finance Minister of the Assam government will be responsible for tabling the budget for the fiscal year 2023-24.
