Vishnu Deo Sai Sworn-In As New Chief Minister Of Chhattisgarh

Vishnu Deo Sai was today sworn-in as the new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. Vishnu Deo Sai was sworn-in in Raipur in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other senior party leaders.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel were also present at the swearing-in ceremony.

Vijay Sharma and Arun Sao were also sworn-in as Deputy Chief Ministers of the state during the ceremony. 

Vishnu Deo Sai, a prominent tribal face of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was named as the new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh by the party, ending a week-long suspense.

He has held various positions with the party, including Chhattisgarh BJP chief. Vishnu Deo Sai was a former Union Minister in the first tenure of the Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre.

The decision to appoint Vishnu Deo Sai as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh came after BJP’s strong performance in the tribal-dominated areas in the state.
