Gujarat Titans Director Vikram Solanki on November 27 said that they respect Hardik Pandya’s decision to move to Mumbai Indians ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 after the much-anticipated trade was confirmed.

Indian Premier League confirmed the double trade as Hardik Pandya left Gujarat Titans to rejoin Mumbai Indians while Cameron Green was traded by the 5-time champions to Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Gujarat Titans won the IPL 2022 title in their inaugural year under Hardik Pandya’s captaincy after which they reached the final in 2023.
Hardik Pandya’s selection as the captain of Gujarat Titans helped eyebrows as the all-rounder hadn’t led at the senior level before taking over as IPL captain for the first time.
However, with guidance from Vikram Solanki and head coach Ashish Nehra, Hardik Pandya proved naysayers wrong as early as the first season with Gujarat Titans, leading them to glory.
