Five terrorists were killed in the ongoing encounter with security forces in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on November 17. The operation is in its final stage, police added.

“The bodies of the slain terrorists are being retrieved and the area is being sanitised. Five bodies have been sighted through drones,” a senior police officer said.
“Day 2: Five terrorists neutralized by Kulgam Police, Army, and CRPF. Incriminating materials were recovered. Operation in the final stage; area being sanitized,” the Kashmir Zone Police wrote in a post on X.
Security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in Nehama village of Kulgam district, following information about the presence of terrorists in the area on November 16.
