While attending an event organised by the Transport Department of the Assam government, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on September 28 announced that people have to pay toll tax for new bridges that will be constructed over the Brahmaputra River.
Newly Constructed Bridges Expected To Overcome The Problem Of Transportation To Great Extent
CM Sarma announced that the newly constructed bridges over the Brahmaputra River which will be connected by the national highways will attract toll taxes.
“You have to pay toll tax to the government to cross through the new bridge of the newly constructed Brahmaputra, otherwise passengers will have to go by boat,” said CM Sarma.
The newly constructed bridges were expected to overcome the problem of transportation profoundly and also benefit the people travelling by ferry every day.
