Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 25 has launched a scathing attack on Opposition parties for continuously disrupting the Monsoon Session of Parliament.

Expressing his frustration, the Prime Minister labelled the Opposition as “directionless” while addressing a key meeting of BJP MPs.

The Monsoon Session, which commenced on July 20, has been marred by frequent interruptions caused by disruptions and sloganeering orchestrated by members of the newly formed opposition alliance, INDIA.

At the forefront of their demands is a statement from Modi concerning the situation in Manipur in Parliament. Union Home Minister Amit Shah faced constant heckling from the Opposition. Despite his assurance that the government was prepared to discuss on Manipur violence, the disruptions persisted.

Fresh outrage broke out in Manipur after a ‘disturbing’ video of two women being paraded naked in Kangpokpi district surfaced online. So far, a total of seven arrests have been made in the case.
