Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya To Set Up Campus In Guwahati

The Government of Assam on July 14 signed an agreement with the Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya (MGAHV) for setting up a campus in this Northeastern state.

Assam Government Signs Agreement With MGAHV

According to an official release, the Maharashtra-based central university will be functioning from a temporary campus in Guwahati for the time being.

The campus will engage in popularising and research of Hindi and other Indian languages. MGAHV vice-chancellor, Rajnish Kumar Shukla, said that a mass communication course in Assamese language will soon be launched in the Guwahati campus.

Moreover, the MGAHV will play a key role in utilisation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Assamese and other Indian languages.

State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu, Education department advisor Nani Gopal Mahanta and other top officials were also present on the occasion, the release added.
