Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence in Manipur. Sangma described the situation as ”very serious and tense”.

Speaking to media persons in Shillong on June 21, he called for the central government to take immediate action to ensure the restoration of peace in the state.

The Chief Minister stressed the need for unity and solidarity among the people of the Northeast, urging them to stand together in support of the state during this challenging phase.

Sangma highlighted the efforts being made by the state administration to assist those affected by the violence. His statements emphasized the need for a collective response from all stakeholders involved.
