Karan Johar To Receive Recognition At British Parliament For His Contribution To Entertainment Industry

Indian filmmaker Karan Johar will receive recognition at the British Parliament in London for his contribution to the entertainment industry. As per a statement released by his team, Karan Johar will be honoured at the event the following week in front of Lords and MPs.

The event will be held at the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two houses of the British Parliament. Both are located in the Palace of Westminster.

It is mentioned many of Karan Johar’s films, including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, were filmed in the United Kingdom.

His Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and My Name Is Khan broke box office records upon their theatrical debuts and went on to become the highest grossing Indian films in the United Kingdom.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani marks Karan Johar’s return to directing after a seven-year absence. He made his directorial debut with the 1998 movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
