Cyber Safety: India’s IT Ministry And Google Announce Collaboration

Google and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology have announced an extended collaboration. This aims to promote cyber safety awareness among Indian citizens.

With more than 700 million internet users in the country, ensuring safety has become significant. The extended collaboration intends to amplify the ‘Stay Safe Online’ campaign.

Sanjay Gupta, Vice President and Country Head of Google India, highlighted the importance of this project in view of India’s digital developments.

By encouraging the adoption of safety precautions and good cyber hygiene, the collaboration aims to safeguard people of all ages from attacks on the internet.

Google will utilize its ‘Be Internet Awesome’ program to raise awareness about online safety. Google and the IT Ministry are also collaborating to raise awareness about cyber fraud. The collaboration aims to provide information on common online scams.
