Assam: Nagaon Police Carried Out Raid In SI Junmoni Rabha’s Residence, Hours Before Her Death

The Nagaon Police had carried out a raid in Assam Police Sub-Inspector Junmoni Rabha‘s residence, a few hours before her death, reports emerged on May 16.

SI Junmoni Rabha Died In Fatal Accident

Notably, the raid was conducted on the basis of a complaint lodged at Lakhimpur Police Station accusing her of being involved in an extortion case.

Hasina Begum, an informant of Junmoni Rabha, who provided information against a fake gold nexus to her, has claimed that the accident was a pre-planned murder.

It is mentioned Junmoni Rabha passed away in a road accident at Jakhalabandha in Assam’s Nagaon district on Monday night.

Junmoni Rabha was a SI at Morakolong Police Station in Nagaon who made headlines last year for various controversies, including corruption, and criminal conspiracy.

Her death raised several questions of whether it was murder, suicide or just an accident that turned fatal. It is to note Director General of Police (DGP) GP Singh handed over the case to CID.
