Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has shared glimpse into Rang Ghar beautification project which represents the ”best of Ahom architecture”.
Beautification Project At Rang Ghar
Sharing a video on microblogging site Twitter, the Chief Minister wrote, ”Rang Ghar represents the best of Ahom architecture. Sharing some glimpses of the iconic monument’s upcoming beautification project, which was launched by Hon’ble PM.”
It is mentioned the state government will develop 26 acres on the northwest side of the Rang Ghar as an international tourist destination. The 124-crore project will include an artisan village, guest house and tourist information centre.
Rang Ghar is widely regarded as the ‘Colosseum of the East’. The iconic Rang Ghar was built during the reign of Swargdeo Pramtta Singha.
