Assam: Himanta Biswa Sarma Inspects Anti-Poaching Activities In Kaziranga National Park

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma undertook an inspection tour of the Kaziranga National Park on April 16. Sarma was accompanied by several other specialists on the visit.

It is mentioned the key objective behind the tour was to take stock of the measures implemented by the forest department towards anti-poaching in the Kaziranga National Park.

The Chief Minister also visited the vulnerable zones on the banks of the Brahmaputra River inside the Kaziranga National Park.

”Today HCM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma travelled inside Kaziranga National Park to personally assess various measures undertaken to eliminate poaching. HCM specially visited vulnerable zones on the banks of Brahmaputra and interacted with forest guards at camps & other officials,” mentioned the Twitter handle of the Assam Chief Minister’s Office.
