Young Woman Gang-Raped In Hajo, Assam, 5 Detained

A young woman was gang-raped by nine people on April 6 in the Tapabari Char area of Hajo. The primary accused has been identified as Altaf, a cab driver.

It is mentioned the culprits assured employment to the victim in a particular organisation, however, they raped her.

Five culprits have been detained by the Hajo Police in relation to the case. They have been identified as Abdul Hamid, Imran Hussain, Abdul Jalil, Afazuddin, and Saidul Rahman.

Altaf, the primary accused, is still on the run. According to sources, the victim is from Dhemaji. The Police took action immediately after receiving the complaint and started a quest to find the culprits.

The young woman’s family has been guaranteed by the Police that the culprits will face severe punishment.
