Section of journalists received an audio clip from the pro-Khalistan outfit, with a warning to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, for torturing pro-Khalistani supporters in an Assam jail and other Sikhs staying in Assam.

It is mentioned the voice in the audio is that of general counsel of Sikhs for Justice Gurpatwan Singh Pannu.
They said their fight is against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and hence it is better for the Assam Chief Minister not to meddle in the matter.
“If you or your government tortures the pro-Khalistani supporters and other Sikhs in Assam, you will be accountable for that,” said the audio clip.
In this regard, DGP GP Singh said, ”The Police registered a case under appropriate sections of the IPC and UAP Act at the Special Task Force Police Station, besides adequately sensitizing the security component of the Chief Minister.”
Furthermore, Minister Pijush Hazarika said that he believes that the Chief Minister will not compromise in the interest of the integrity and sovereignty of the country.
