Assam: State Revenue Minister Jogen Mohan Launches E-Khazana System

The people of Assam will not have to move to mouzadars to pay Khazana. It is mentioned they will have to take the e-Khazana route to pay such taxes, barring the districts under the Sixth Schedule.

Jogen Mohan Launches E-Khazana System

On April 1, State Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Jogen Mohan launched the e-Khazana system in the mouzadari areas.

Under the guidance of the Chief Minister and the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, the Directorate of Land Records and Surveys developed the e-Khazana system.

Jogen Mohan launched the e-Khazana system at a function at the State Secretariat in the presence of Minister UG Brahma, Revenue and Disaster Management Principal Secretary GD Tripathi, Director of Land Records and Surveys Shantanu P Gotmare, and higher officials of the department.

Assam has two categories of districts, Tehshildari and Mouzadari districts. The teshildari districts are Dhubri, Goalpara, South Salmara, Mankachar, Bongaigaon, Karimganj, and a few others. Most of the districts are under the mouzadari system.
