According to a statement made by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on March 19, CBSE adopts the National Curriculum Framework for Foundation Stage from the academic year 2023–24.

It needs to be mentioned the National Education Policy 2020 mandated the development of NCFFS 2022 by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
“They make fresh ideas more comprehensible to practicing teachers and aid in the clarification of abstract notions,” the board remarked.
“They help to clarify abstract concepts, reinforce learning, and make new ideas more accessible to practising teachers. Myriad examples are aptly incorporated to enhance understanding, foster engagement, and elaborate concrete ways concepts can be implemented in day-to-day teaching, ” it further noted.
“Schools offering classes I to X/XII may make efforts to gradually augment the infrastructural requirements to include pre-primary classes,” it concluded.
