The Assam Police will investigate if the HSLC paper leak scam has any political angle. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated so before the media on March 20.
HSLC Paper Leakage Scam
“It has come to light that one of the masterminds in the question paper leak episode is a former office-bearer of the Congress. He is the headmaster of a school. This headmaster leaked the question papers,” the Chief Minister stated in New Delhi.
”We will now see if the headmaster leaked the question paper for money or to serve any political purpose. Now, the students should face the examination undisturbed. We need to make all HSLC students sit for the examinations,” he further added.
Furthermore, on the misappropriation of MPLAD funds, Himanta Biswa Sarma continued, “The suspension of the four officers is just departmental action. Criminal action will start now. Villagers say that some roads have been shown in lists as having been constructed without actually constructing them on the ground. Even the four officers admitted that fraudulently issued checks were taken from them. They said that they had not signed the checks. The officers had also filed a case at the Dispur Police Station in that connection.”
