Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog on March 15 informed the State Assembly the Assam Government would provide jobs to 40,000 more youth between May 10 and 20, 2023.

“We will keep our commitment of providing jobs to one lakh youths in the first year to the letter. The process is taking time as we are appointing the youths in a transparent and clean way,” the Minister said.
It is mentioned the budget session began on March 10. It is scheduled to continue till April 5.
Notably, some new bills are expected to be brought up for discussion. The first day of the budget session of the Assam Legislative Assembly began with the address from newly appointed Governor Gulab Chand Kataria.
