Assam Government will acquire around 180 bighas of allotted land in and around Silsako Beel in Guwahati.
Assam Government To Acquire Alloted Lands
Assam Government on March 3 asked the Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner to give details of lands allotted by the government to various organizations in Silsako Beel.
It is mentioned the Chief Minister held a meeting with 19 development committees from the Silsako area. Moreover, he assured them that the government would conduct a survey before further evictions.
The breakup of the 180 bighas of allotted land to 17 organizations is: 20 bighas to Hotel Management Institute, 50 bighas to Axam Xahitya Xabha, 5 bighas to All Assam Tennis Association, 5 bighas to Cooperative Management Institute, 1 bigha to Titabor Bhawan, 1 bigha to Koch-Rajbongshi Sanmilani, 1 bigha to Madhyamik Shikshak Santha, 2 bighas to Omiyo Kumar Das Institute, 1 bigha to All Assam Moitri Coordination Council, 6 bighas to a high school, one bigha to Assam Tea Labourer Welfare Council, 3 bighas to Hengrabari Junior College, 1 bigha to National Institute of Television and Theatre, 50 bighas to Assam Assembly Secretariat Housing Quarters, 7 bighas to Tepuram Teron High School, 20 bighas to TV Centre Housing Colony and 5 bighas to an animal care centre.
