A final-year MBBS student of Zoram Medical College at Falkawn near Aizawl passed away on March 8. Notably, it has been suspected that the student suffered a heart attack.
MBBS Student From Rajasthan Dies
The student, named, Anita Kanwar belonged to a small village in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. She would have finished her final examination on March 9.
As per the reports, Anita Kanwar’s parents had arrived in Aizawl. “We are unable to ascertain the reason for her demise without doing the autopsy. However, she appears to have had a major heart attack or pulmonary embolism (cardiac arrest),” ZMC faculty member Saia Chenkual stated.
According to a classmate of Anita, she had the desire to become the first female doctor in her community.
