The Assam Tourism Development Corporation is targeting over one crore domestic traveller football in 2022–2023 (or 1.3 billion).

In this regard, Padmapani Bora, Managing Director of the Assam Tourist Development Corporation stated, ”This is a good indicator since more and more people are interested in visiting the North East and Assam as a destination.”
“Up until January of this fiscal year, we had nearly 88 lakh domestic guests, more than twice as many as we had in FY20″ (51 lakh),” he further added.
“This has given us confidence that the domestic tourist footfall is going to cross over one crore in FY23,” he continued.
