Manish Sisodia Moves The Supreme Court To Challenge His Arrest

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia moved the Supreme Court against his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on February 28. It is mentioned the Chief Justice of India (CJI) has agreed to hear the matter at 3.50 pm.

Notably, senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi mentioned Manish Sisodia’s case before the CJI challenging his arrest.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader was arrested by the CBI on February 26 and produced before a court on February 27.

Manish Sisodia was arrested under sections 120 B (criminal conspiracy), 477 A (intent to defraud) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. As per the inputs, Sisodia was arrested after over eight hours of questioning.
