Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on February 22 that Assam Government will soon fulfil pledge to create one lakh jobs to the youth while delivering appointment letters to employees.

It is noted Sarma gave away the appointment letters for 32 employees in the fishery department, 161 in the veterinary department, 4 in the public health and engineering department and 13 in the enterprises and commerce administration department.
The Chief Minister announced, ”Boosting and expanding public service in the state’s fishery, animal husbandry, and veterinary sectors involves hiring qualified and capable young people.”
”The state government is implementing several actions to give these sectors more momentum. The government is trying to restructure the department of veterinary medicine and livestock breeding to make it as capable as the department of health and family welfare. More roles for veterinary officials will be created to accommodate the state’s cattle population’s treatment requirements,” he further added.
