Mamata Banerjee Takes Part In Election Rally In Meghalaya Ahead Of Assembly Polls

Mamata Banerjee, the Chief of the Trinamool Congress, announced while addressing an election rally in Meghalaya that she and her party will not allow outsiders to impose CAA and NRC on the residents of the state.

It is noted she took part in an election rally on February 22 ahead of the assembly polls which are dated for March 6. Moreover, she took a dig on multiple parties which are taking part in the elections.

Launching an attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party, Mamata Banerjee mentioned, “Outsiders want to rule here while oppressing you with National Register of Citizens, the Citizenship Amendment Act, bullets and scandals. Do not tolerate this. Don’t allow people coming from outside the state to impose CAA or NRC on you.”

”The state of Meghalaya will be ruled by the people of the state itself and not by someone sitting in Guwahati or Delhi. The Trinamool Congress is a friend of the people of Meghalaya and will help them in all directions,” she further added.
