On March 17, opposition party Assam Jatiya Parishad seeks Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intervention in HSLC paper leak scam. Notably, AJP demanded the removal of SEBA chairman Ramesh Chand Jain and asked for a judicial probe.

It is mentioned AJP sent a letter to the Prime Minister to apprise him and sought his “immediate intervention into the matter,” AJP’s president Lurinjyoti Gogoi said at a press conference.
“This mismanagement, paper leak and postponement of examinations at the eleventh hour has disturbed the mind, intellect and the preparations of the innocent students and that is certainly going to affect their future prospects,” the letter stated.
“The people of Assam, including the students and intelligentsia, have expressed deep concern over the irresponsible act of the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) and demanded appropriate action against the wrongdoers, including the chairman of the board, for the failures,” it further added.
