Ace Swimmer Elvis Ali Hazarika Becomes First Assamese To Complete Solo Swim From Elephanta Island Jetty To Gateway Of India

Ace swimmer Elvis Ali Hazarika who hails from Guwahati has etched his name in the annals of history by becoming the first Assamese to complete a solo swim from Elephanta Island Jetty to the Gateway of India in Mumbai.

This amazing achievement was reported on December 13, highlighting the swimmer’s remarkable feat amidst the challenges posed by the Arabian Sea.

Elvis Ali Hazarika encountered numerous obstacles during his solo swim. Despite these difficulties, he completed the swim and bringing pride to the people of Assam.

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal extended his best wishes to the swimmer. In a message shared on social media, the Union Minister encouraged Elvis Ali Hazarika to continue breaking records and bringing glory to the nation.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also congratulated the swimmer for this achievement and acknowledged his exceptional effort.
