Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on December 11.

Assam CM Invites PM Modi To Lay Foundation Stone Of Kamakhya Corridor Project

CM Sarma has invited PM Modi to lay the foundation stone of the Kamakhya Corridor project. Besides laying the foundation stone of the Kamakhya Corridor project, CM Sarma also urged PM Modi to “dedicate the grand statue of Bir Lachit at Jorhat”.

CM Sarma also invited PM Modi to “inaugurate the Tinsukia Medical College and lay the foundation of Sivasagar Medical College”. Further, he also sought PM Modi’s “counsel on organizing the Assam Business Summit in 2024”.

“Our aim is to establish it as a platform to attract private investments and accelerate our economic growth,” CM Sarma said. During the meeting, CM Sarma briefed PM Modi about the ongoing “pro-people programmes” in the Northeastern state.
