Constitution Of India Published In Meetei-Mayek Script; Manipur CM Releases Diglot Edition

The Meetei-Mayek edition of the Constitution of India was released in Manipur capital Imphal. Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on November 26 released the Diglot edition of the Constitution in the Meetei-Mayek language.

CM Biren Singh Releases Diglot Edition Of Constitution In Meetei-Mayek Language

On the occasion of the celebration of Constitution Day, the Diglot edition of the Constitution in Manipuri language was released at the Cabinet hall of the CM Secretariat.

As a part of the programme, ministers, MLAs, government officials read the preamble of India and felicitate the translators who translated constitution into Manipuri language.

CM Biren Singh expressed his gratitude to the Government of India for facilitating the release of the Constitution of India in Manipuri language.

“We are really proud of it. And we on behalf of the people of Manipur and government would like to appreciate the honourable Prime Minister about his thinking of inclusiveness and recognition of small matters. Manipur is a very tiny state and the population is very less. Even then, through the guidance of the honourable Prime Minister, we are able to publish in our own script the constitution of India,” said CM Biren Singh.
