Poaching Tragedy Strikes Raimona National Park In Assam
The carcass of the elephant was found at the Kachugaon division of the national park and is estimated to have been killed around 4-5 days before it was found.
Forest officials are working to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. This incident comes just weeks after another wild elephant was found dead in a paddy field in Krishnai of Goalpara district.
The poachers not only extinguished the life of the elephant but also insensitively stole its tusks, underscoring the ongoing threat posed by illegal poaching activities. Adding to the brutality, the tusker, believed to have been shot by poachers, had its trunk chopped off.
