Justice Siddharth Mridul on October 20 took oath as the new Chief Justice of Manipur High Court. The inauguration ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan in Imphal, where Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey administered the oath.

Among those in attendance at the swearing-in ceremony were Chief Minister N. Biren Singh and various members of his cabinet.
The newly sworn-in Chief Justice of Manipur High Court expressed his happiness on being appointed as Chief Justice of Manipur High Court and said that he looks forward to having a productive tenure.
He also pledged to diligently address the pending cases, totaling approximately 3,335, at Manipur High Court.
N. Biren Singh extended gratitude to the Central government for filling the position of Chief Justice on a regular basis as the post had been managed by an in-charge for long time.
