Two people get life imprisonment on March 13 by a Session Court in Imphal for kidnapping and killing 8-year-old daughter of former Manipur minister Francis Ngajokpa.

It is noted the CBI filed a charge sheet against Letkhosei Haokip, Ningombam Rome Meitei, and two others on December 28, 2007.
Ningombam Rome Meitei and Letkhosei Haokip were given life imprisonment by the Session Court in Imphal (East).
“Miss Lungnila Elizabeth (aged 8 years), daughter of Francis Ngajokpa, then minister in the Government of Manipur, was allegedly abducted on November 4, 2003, from a school in the Sangaiprou, Imphal West district,” stated a CBI spokeswoman.
