Israel said it recaptured Gaza border areas from Hamas militants on October 10, the fourth day of fierce fighting that has left thousands dead on both sides.

The Israel Army is mobilising its members in southern Israel, and more members of the reserve forces have been called in, along with heavy military equipment.
International NGOs issued a striking warning over the humanitarian and health situation situation in the Gaza Strip.
“Around 1,500 bodies of Hamas (fighters) have been found in Israel around the Gaza Strip,” said army spokesman Richard Hecht.
