Union Home Ministry Orders CBI Probe Into Arvind Kejriwal’s Residence Renovation Allegations

The Union Home Ministry has directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct an inquiry into Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence renovation allegations.

The CBI has initiated a preliminary inquiry to investigate the alleged “irregularities and misconduct” by unidentified public servants within the Delhi government.

As part of this probe, the CBI has instructed the Delhi government’s Public Works Department to provide all related documents by October 3.

The agency’s comprehensive investigation will delve into all aspects of the allegations, which came to light following an inquiry conducted by the Chief Secretary of Delhi.

“From the first day we have maintained that the way this bungalow was constructed by violating all rules and regulations, massive corruption has taken place,” Virendra Sachdeva, the chief of BJP’s Delhi unit, said.

“After this CBI investigation, Arvind Kejriwal would have to answer who gave the order for all these constructions (at CM’s residence),” he added.
