An irate mob on September 27 burnt down a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) mandal office in Thoubal district in Manipur.

The office was targeted by a large group of student protestors, who vented their fury over the killing of two Meitei students in the state.
This is not the first time a BJP office has been attacked amid the ongoing ethnic clashes. Earlier in June, three BJP offices in Thoubal district were vandalized by miscreants.
The mob destroyed the office gate, windows, and windshield of an SUV parked within the premises. Meanwhile, fresh protests have erupted in Imphal Valley over the death of two Meitei students.
A clash erupted on Tuesday night between RAF personnel and locals protesting the killing of two Meitei students, who had been missing since July 6.
