The coordination committee of the Opposition bloc INDIA has taken a decisive step during their recent meeting. The INDIA has released a list of 14 television news anchors whose shows will be boycotted by the alliance’s representatives.

The list comes a day after the coordination committee of the INDIA held its first meeting and released a joint statement.
The list of anchors shared by various member parties of the INDIA bloc includes Arnab Goswami from Republic Network, Sudhir Chaudhary from Aaj Tak, Amish Devgan from News18 India, Navika Kumar from Times Now, and Gaurav C. Sawant from India Today, among others.
Speaking about the decision, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said, “Today, we took a decision. Some anchors have been marked and their shows and events will be boycotted. We do not want to legitimise this hate-filled narrative which is corroding our society.”
“You make headlines against our leaders, make memes, twist their speeches, spread fake news but we are ready to fight against that. But if you spread hatred in the society which takes the form of violence, we don’t want to be a part of that,” he added.
Taking to X platform, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “With the news anchor boycott, the rehearsal to reinstate censorship has officially begun. However, unfortunately for them, the people of Bharat will elect Sri Narendra Modi in 2024 as the Prime Minister, who will ensure that the dark days of emergency do not return to our country again.”
