Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on August 5 announced that the Maligaon flyover will be inaugurated on August 28.
The Development Comes As Sigh Of Relief For People Of City
The Chief Minister made the announcement during an event at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati.
The residents of Maligaon and nearby areas have been facing huge traffic congestion since the start of the construction work.
Moreover, major accidents occurred due to the construction work. The announcement by the Chief Minister that the Maligaon flyover will be inaugurated on August 28 is a relief for the commuters in the city and residents of Maligaon area as well.
The construction work for the state’s longest flyover, a project worth Rs 420.75 crore, was started in 2020.
