Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar will visit Assam on July 4. The Vice President will attend the 25th convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati as the Chief Guest.
Vice President To Attend 25th Convocation Of IIT Guwahati
Dhankhar will interact with the students of IIT Guwahati. He will also visit the Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati and offer his prayers, a statement from the Vice President’s Secretariat said on July 2.
Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma will be the guests of honour at the event.
As per sources, in total, 2,011 bachelors, master’s and PhD degree holders will be honoured during the event. Established in 1994, the IIT Guwahati has achieved a spot in the World’s top 25 per cent institutions list in the QS World University Rankings 2024.
