Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will present the prestigious Bishnu Rabha Award for the year 2023 to two distinguished artists. Cultural Affairs Minister Bimal Borah announced the recipients of the Bishnu Rabha and various other awards on June 16.

Himanta Biswa Sarma will also honour the accomplishments and contributions of six other esteemed personalities with the State and National awards.Renowned painter Ajit Sheel and dancer Gopal Krishna Goswami will be conferred with the Bishnu Rabha Award 2023.
Prominent author Arup Kumar Dutta will be conferred with the Sri Sri Madhavdev Award 2022. Late Bhaskar Kalita is being nominated for the Bir Chilarai Award 2022.
Bishnu Prasad Rabha’s death anniversary will be celebrated on June 20 at Jagrapar Stadium. The event is being organized by the Cultural Affairs Department, Assam in collaboration with the Dhubri District Administration.
