All schools in Haflong, Harangajao, Mahur, and other landslide-prone districts of the Dima Hasao District will be closed for five days, according to a notice published by the Office of the Inspector of Schools on June 12.

The Government of Assam has taken the decision to reduce any potential concerns that may develop owing to the bad weather conditions with the wellbeing of students in mind. The five-day closure began on June 13.
