Assam: NSA Team Arrives In Dibrugarh, Quizzes Amritpal Singh

A team of the NSA (National Security Agency) has arrived at Assam’s Dibrugarh for a second time on May 23. The team met Amritpal Singh and his associates, who are lodged at the Dibrugarh central jail. Reportedly, Amritpal Singh was interrogated by the NSA officers for more than two hours.

The radical Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh along with his nine associates are being kept at the Dibrugarh jail, since their arrests.

It is noted the four-member team was led by justice (retired) Shabihul Hasnain, chairman of the advisory board of NSA, and comprised Suveer Sheokand (member), Divanshu Jain (member) and Rakesh Agarwal (IGP, Punjab).

The team arrived at the Dibrugarh jail at around 3:30 pm on May 23. Earlier, Amritpal Singh’s father Tarsem Singh and mother Balwinder Kaur met their son at the Dibrugarh jail on May 18.

The nine associates of Amritpal Singh, who are lodged at the Dibrugarh jail, are Papalpreet Singh, Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, Varinder Singh Johal, Gurmeet Singh Bukkanwala, Harjit Singh, Bhagwant Singh Bajeke, Basant Singh, Gurinderpal Singh and Daljeet Singh Kalsi.
