Tiger Threat: Section 144 CrPC Imposed In Kaliabor, Assam

On April 26, prohibitory orders have been imposed in Assam’s Kaliabor due to a tiger threat. According to reports, a tiger entered in the Silghat neighbourhood of Kaliabor with two cubs.

It is mentioned the incident took place in Silghat area of Kaliabor where the tiger was spotted at a tea garden and prowling in the area.

So far, there are no reports of anyone being injured. Although no fatalities have been reported, yet as a precautionary measure, the district magistrate has imposed Section 144 CrPC.

Notably, the order shall remain in force until the tiger and the cubs are captured. However, it is alleged that the forest department has not taken any action to capture the animals.

Earlier, a tiger was spotted near Silghat and a tea estate area on March 5 where the big cat entered a resort in search of drinking water.
