Mock drill was conducted on April 10 across nearly 1300 health facilities distributed across the state to test the Covid preparedness of the health department.

The health department take preemptive measures as the number of Covid cases has been seen to be increasing in Assam.
It is mentioned a total of 25 district hospitals, 11 government medical college hospitals, 223 community health centres and sub-divisional hospitals have been bought under the mock drill.
In this regard, a senior official of the health department said the state has an adequate number of beds in hospitals to accommodate any Covid case.
According to reports of the Central government, Assam had an active load of only two cases on April 11. The Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya urges the public to follow Covid appropriate behaviour.
