On March 28, Assam Police recover 44 illegally smuggled cattle from Jorabat during a search operation. As per the reports, the Police stopped two trucks carrying animals on NH-37.
Smuggled Cattle Recovered From Jorabat
Police have detained two smugglers in connection with the matter. They have been identified as Abdul Kalam and Abdul Hamid.
According to the sources the animals were smuggled out of Mangaldai and Baihata. The legal authorities have recovered the vehicle and the animals as well.
In a similar case, the Jorabat Police on February 27 stopped a truck at Jorabat that was reportedly transporting livestock into Meghalaya unlawfully. Sources claim that there were 30 cows in total.
